3 Percent of ER Visits are Due to Pubic Shaving Accidents

Maybe to much info, but I remember back when I found my first Playboy there wasn't a whole lot of shaving going on. While, times they are a changin', and most people they are a shavin'. But it's causing some issues!

As more and more Americans choose the DIY method for doing away with pubic hair fully, a quarter of these south-of-the-belt shavers report that they’ve cut themselves or gotten an infection from the practice. Injuries--which can increase one's chances of contracting an STD--were slightly more common among women than men, and, in another University of California-San Francisco study, pube-related mishaps accounted for 3 percent of all emergency room visits combined.

Naturally, experts recommend waxing or laser removal as far safer alternatives.
