Someone Called the Cops in Greeley to Help Ducks Cross the Road

Once a week or so, my hometown newspaper, the Greeley Tribune, puts together what they call their Cop Log. Basically they compile the weirdest stuff that the cops encounter over the last month or so in Greeley and Evans, and print it for the world to see. Today, it's the story of the person who called the police to have them setup a roadblock so ducks could cross the road.

June 26th, 3:30 p.m.: Police received a call from the 5900 block of 4th Avenue. The caller asked the department's animal control unit to provide a road block so a duck and her ducklings could cross the street. When police arrived on the scene, though, they found no ducks and concluded the birds "must have been successful in their crossing."

Kudos to the Greeley Police for responding, but there is a rabbit in my neighborhood who crosses the street at least 50 times a day with no road block... Just sayin'!
