The Colorado Eagles Will Officially Move to the AHL

It has been speculated for some time, but the Denver Post is reporting that the move is official. The Colorado Eagles will become the 31st franchise in the American Hockey League, and the Colorado Avalanche’s AHL affiliate.

The Denver Post says that the Avalanche will "announce the partnership next month, according to two sources close to the situation."

They also say that the partnership will begin in the 2018-19 season and will likely mean renovations to the Budweiser Events Center to accommodate larger crowds.
