Colorado's Chipotle Now Wants You to Grow Your Own Burrito Ingredients

I root for all the Colorado businesses to succeed, but Chipotle has had a rough go lately after they made a bunch of people sick awhile back. So they keep coming up with new ideas to bring the business back to its glory days. The latest stunt is rather interesting, though...

Chipotle just announced that on Wednesday, March 20, it will start selling "Home Grown Chipotle" boxes that will make it possible for customers to grow their own burrito ingredients at home.

The boxes, which Us Weekly reports will be available for a limited time, contain seeds, supplies and instructions for how to grow and nurture six vegetables--cilantro, tomato, pinto beans, jalapeño pepper, bell pepper, and onion--that are integral to the fast-casual chain's’s menu.

“One of the things that makes Chipotle so unique is the dedication we have to real ingredients that are prepared fresh daily and sourced responsibly,” Caitlin Leibert, sustainability director at Chipotle, said via a press release.
