Things have been looking up in the concert world for this summer, but packing 80,000 people into a stadium just isn't in the cards...

Kenny Chesney has just announced that his 2021 Chillaxification Tour will be postponed to 2022, once again due to the continuous spread of COVID-19. That includes a show that was scheduled for Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on Saturday, July 31.The 2022 Denver concert does not yet have an official date yet, but Chesney's team said the new tour dates will be released soon.

This is the same tour that was supposed to happen in 2020. Kenny promises that next years tour will have a new name, and feature a completely new set of songs for fans to enjoy.

He shared the news in a lengthy heartfelt post on Instagram.

"No Shoes Nation– It has been too long, and I miss you guys. You know how you feel when the music starts, the show open rolls, the lights spin? And it builds and then… I walk out and see you?! That is the greatest moment, and it starts the biggest rush I’ve ever experienced."

He closed with saying, "So here comes reality. We’re moving to 2022… Where I feel better about us all being together safely. I’d rather keep everyone safe + know we can rock for years to come."
