YUP: Road Rage Might Be Genetic, and There's a Term for It: Accelerousal

These researchers could have just stuck with the term "road rage" . . . because this new term seems needlessly sexual: According to psychologists at the University of Houston, if you get angry behind the wheel a lot, you maybe experiencing "accelerousal."

In psychology, "arousal" is anything that causes stress, so it's not necessarily sexual. And they think "accelerousal" might be genetic. So your parents might be the reason you're "acceleroused."

People who experience it deal with about 50% more stress than drivers who don't. And even small things can trigger accelerousal . . . like having to hit the brakes for a red light.

Hear Scott and Sadie's take on the story here...
