A generous person has been taking care of folks in their community that need a helping hand, but they don’t want anyone to know who they are. In High Springs, Florida, this anonymous citizen has been going to City Hall and paying off overdue, unpaid utility bills.
It started in January and they returned in February and March to do it again, promising to return on the first of every month to pay someone’s bills. So far they’ve paid off over $2-thousand in bills and the act of kindness has city officials calling the donor their “guardian angel.”
City of High Springs Public Information Officer Kevin Mangan says they’ve tried to get the donor to come forward, but they’re adamant about staying out of the spotlight. “Hopefully, maybe, at some point, this person will come forward so we can thank them,” he says. “But at the end of the day, I don’t think that’s why they’re doing it. I think they’re just trying to help out.”
