There are only so many combinations you can use with a phone area code before you run out of numbers and you have to add new area codes. That's the case in Denver as they announced this week that the number 983 will join 303 and 720 as the areas third area code.
The funny part is what that area code spells out if you look at the letters that correspond to the numbers on the dial... WTF!
It's probably just by chance, but if some guy in a high-rise office did this on purpose because he has a great sense of humor, I give him mad props, because that's FUNNY!
The new area code will start being used next month.
