Crayola Announces the Color They are Doing Away With

Earlier this week Crayola said they were getting rid of one of the colors that has been in their 24-pack of crayons for over 100 years. Today we found out which color it is...

Crayola announced on Twitter that it will be retiring the color “Dandelion” from its 24-crayon box, and then followed that news up today--which is National Crayon Day--by saying it would be replaced by a mystery hue of blue.

“Our beloved Dandelion decided to announce his retirement early!” the official Crayola account tweeted alongside a video of the dandelion crayon named Dan D. “There’s no taming an adventurous spirit! #NationalCrayonDay.”

While Crayola would only reveal that the new crayon will be in the "blue family," it added that customers will be able to help name it.

Someone help me understand why there is still a white crayon...
