Tim Tebow sent a message to all the haters in his first minor league at-bat on Thursday night by hitting a two-run homer.
The former NFL quarterback was playing his first game for the New York Mets farm team, the Single-A Columbia Fireflies.
"All of my sports experiences helped me for moments like that," Tebow said after the game, according to ESPN. "So much about sports is handling moments and handling pressure."
The Fireflies beat the Augusta GreenJackets 14-7.
