The cost of living is high these days, so money is tight. A new way to make a lot of money fast may be simply giving up your seat on a future United Airlines flight!
In an effort to recover from its recent doctor-dragging fiasco, United Airlines announced 10 new policy changes on Thursday that include reducing the number of flights it overbooks and offering passengers up to $10,000 to forfeit a seat.
That sum puts United on par with Delta's new up-to-$10,000 flight-bump policy, which it enacted days after 69-year-old David Dao was dragged off his United flight on April 9.
The new guidelines also include limiting the use of law enforcement to safety and security issues only, and not requiring customers already seated on a plane to give up their seat involuntarily. (What a concept!)
Here's to hoping they need my seat sometime soon!
