What's the Richest Town in Colorado?

If I had to guess where the richest city in Colorado is, I'd certainly think somewhere in the mountains like Aspen or Vail. Isn't that where all the movie stars live?

Well, I'd be wrong...

On Thursday, GoBankingRates.com released a list of the wealthiest cities in the U.S. by state, based on such criteria as median household income and real estate values.

In Colorado it's Cherry Hills Village, a suburb of Denver.

Here are 10 of the richest towns in America:

  • California: Atherton
  • New York: Sands Point
  • Texas: Piney Point
  • Florida: Jupiter Island
  • Illinois: Winnetka
  • Pennsylvania: Fox Chapel
  • Washington: Clyde Hill
  • New Jersey: Sea Girt
  • Michigan: Orchard Lake
