Home Depot and Menards Have Been Lying About the Size of Their Lumber

Guys have been overstating the size of their lumber since the dawn of time, but a couple of home improvement retailers are getting called out for doing it.

Menards and Home Depot are selling 4X4s, the big brother to the more used 2X4s, but they aren't exactly 4 inches by 4 inches like the name suggests. Instead they are 3 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches.

Well, someone is calling their bluff and has filed lawsuits against both stores and seek $5 million from each.

Now I get why you might want to get this rectified, but $5 million seems pretty steep for something that happens to the best of us, right?
