Tim Tebow Just Got a Baseball Promotion

Somehow, someway, Tim Tebow always finds his way to where he wants to be... 

The former Broncos quarterback has struggled in his transition to minor league baseball, batting just .222 with three home runs and 69 strikeouts in 212 at-bats for the Columbia (S.C.) Fireflies, the New York Mets’ low-A affiliate. But as ESPN notes, “Those aren’t numbers that usually lead to a promotion.” Still,  such hiccups didn’t stop the Mets from promoting Tebow to St. Lucie in high-A ball.

 "I wouldn't say he has excelled,” says Mets general manager Sandy Alderson. "But at the same time, what he's done there--given all the circumstances--justified the promotion."

He never really earned a starting role for the Broncos either, but given oppurtuinities
