The Rockies have been struggling of late, but there was good news from the team finally last night...
Colorado Rockies pitcher Jon Gray hit his first home run against the Cincinnati Reds last night in the high altitude of Denver’s Coors Field, and he sure got his money’s worth.
The 467-foot blast was the longest homer hit by a pitcher since Major League Baseball began tracking distances in 2015. It was also the longest homer by a Rockies player this year.
And in even better news, the Rockies ended up winning the game 5-3, with Gray earning the win to improve his record to 2-0.
