Baby Box is Now Available in Colorado

When I first started reading about the Baby Box thing I was a little wierded out. Putting your baby in a cardboard box reminded me of going to the pet store and buying a lizard and putting it in a box before taking it home.

Luckily, this cardboard box has a lot more benefits!

Baby bed boxes have been used for decades in Finland.

Researchers say they're proven to reduce infant deaths. They also help babies maintain a healthy body temperature while they sleep.

Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation and the Denver Health Foundation will team with the Baby Box Co. to provide free baby boxes for the estimated 66,500 children who will be born in the state this year.

By completing an online syllabus, all new and expecting parents in the state will receive a baby box that contains diapers, baby wipes, a onesie, nursing pads and activity cards.

Colorado is now the fifth state to offer the Baby Box.
