Working in radio has it's perks, like getting to go backstage to meet stars here and there. Last night we got the chance to go meet Luke Bryan in Cheyenne, but what happened while waiting in line is what was really cool for me.
Right in front of us in line we met Turner West and his parents and got to talking. Turner is 7 and in a wheelchair because of cerebral palsy. The excitement Turner had knowing he was about to meet his favorite singer could be felt by anyone in the area.
Turner's mom let me take a couple pictures of the letter he was going to give to Luke Bryan and I may have teared up a bit...
Long story short, Turner got to meet Luke and Luke took an extra long time chatting and making sure Turner had a moment he will NEVER forget. Thank you to Luke for being such a good human and doing that.
It is things like this that remind me why I love what I do. Music and good people can change lives, and I am sure Turner's changed for the better last night, but I know for sure mine did!!
