What Job Is the Exact Opposite of Your Job?

I am not easily offended, but this study has me feeling a little upset...

Tapping into a Labor Department database on the skills required to qualify for certain jobs, The New York Times has come up with an addictive online generator to tell people what the opposite of their job is—i.e., what job they’d theoretically be least qualified to do based on what they’re doing now.

Below are some highlights; click on the link to try the generator for yourself.

  • The opposite job of a kindergarten teacher is a physicist.
  • The opposite job of a news editor is a model.
  • The opposite job of a writer and author is a mobile home installer.
  • The opposite job of an architect is a slaughterer and meat packer.
  • The opposite job of a bartender is a physicist.
  • The opposite job of a radio and television announcer is a model.
  • The opposite job of a housekeeper is a physicist.
  • The opposite job of a computer hardware engineer is a dry cleaner presser.
  • The opposite job of an oil derrick operator is a high school principal.
  • The opposite job of a musician and singer is a physicist.
  • The opposite job of an actor is a physicist.
  • The opposite job of a mail carrier is a physicist.
  • The opposite job of a police officer is an agricultural grader.
  • The opposite job of a dentist is a model.

I feel like this is another one of those "you have a face for radio" jokes...

You can see the opposite of any job here.
