Nebraska Will Ban Oversize Semis During the Eclipse

The total solar eclipse is just over a week away now, and Nebraska will be one of the best places to see it. That also means there will be a ton of people there. So today the state decided to take a little action...

The Nebraska Department of Transportation is going to ban oversize semitrailer trucks from using the state’s highways and Interstate 80 from sunset on Aug. 18 to sunrise on Aug. 22, the Omaha World-Herald reports.

Standard 8-foot-wide semiloads will still be able to travel through the state.

Nebraska is expected to have a 500,000 more vehicles than normal those days.
