One in Three People Can't Get Through a Meal Without...

You damn kids with your phones . . . back in my day, the only apps we cared about during dinner were appetizers.  Pausing for laughs.  Still pausing.  Still pausing.  Whatever.  Humor is subjective.

According to a new survey, one out of three Americans says they CAN'T get through a meal without being on their phone.

On the opposite end of things, 17% of people say they NEVER have their phone with them when they're eating.  That's half the number of people who are glued to their phone during meals.

The survey also found the average American thinks about food seven times a day.  But 3% of us who REALLY love food think about it at least 31 times a day.

What extreme measures here in middle America are we taking to wean ourselves for portable glass teet? Do you have a basket? That's what Scott and his wife Julie do. All three phones are placed in a basket in the middle of the table. You may reach for your phone, but the first one to do so must do the dishes.

So far, so good...
