I have heard people refer to places in Colorado (Boulder) as seeming like they are their own country. And if Colorado were it's own country, it would be holding it's own at the 2018 Winter Olympics!
Colorado athletes have 9 of the 21 total medals the US has won at the games so far, and that's would be tied with China in 14th place in the overall medal count if Colorado were it's own country.
77 other countries have earned fewer medals than just Colorado.
There are still more chances too... Red Gerard and Chris Corning will be competing in the snowboard big air finals Friday night and Nathan Weber is in the 4-man bobsled on Saturday.
