A Colorado School District is Getting Rid of School on Mondays

I've yet to meet anyone who loves Mondays, but that may be changing rather quickly as a Colorado school district just announced they are getting rid of classes on Mondays starting next year.

School District 27J serves 18,000 students in Brighton, Commerce City, Henderson, Thornton and Aurora, and they announced today that they will transition from a five-day student contact week to a four-day student contact week beginning in August 2018.

That means NO SCHOOL ON MONDAYS!!

The main reason is to be attractive to current and incoming teachers, who just like all of us seem to hate Mondays too.

This does create an issue for kids who still need supervision, adding to daycare costs.

So, good idea or bad?
