Denver Zoo Welcomes an Endangered Sumatran Orangutan

I love baby animals. Pretty much every single one is cute. Even the ugly ones are so ugly they are cute usually. But in this case the Denver Zoo has one that is as cute as they come!

A female endangered Sumatran orangutan was born at the Denver Zoo on Sunday, officials said Friday.

She's named Cerah, which means “bright” in Indonesian.

Cerah is not yet available for public viewing; she’s spending time with mom behind the scenes to bond and rest. Zoo staff expect she’ll make her public debut sometime in the next two weeks.
