Cops Get Called After a Greeley Dog Fails to Appear in Court

Once a week or so, my hometown newspaper, the Greeley Tribune, puts together what they call their Cop Log. Basically they compile the weirdest stuff that the cops encounter over the last month or so in Greeley and Evans, and print it for the world to see. Today, it's the story of the dog who failed to show up to court.

Feb 10th, 9:15 a.m.: Police received a call from the 2800 block of 10th Street "regarding a dog that was supposed to appear in court but did not appear."

This is so off the wall that I actually Googled whether or not dogs could be summoned to court in Colorado. There isn't even a place on the internet that answers that question, so I am going to say NO! And this is the kind of stuff our law enforcement has to deal with...

See the rest of this week's Cop Log here.
