Beth Binder (R) will Compete on Jeopardy Thursday May 10, 2018.

Beth Binder, a 6th Grade Teacher from Fort Collins, will compete on Jeopardy.

Binder, a teacher at Ridgeview Classical Schools, will compete during Jeopardy Teachers Tournament, beginning May 7.

The two-week tournament features teachers from across the nation competing for $100,000 and a spot in the next Tournament of Champions.

According to Jeopardy's WEBSITE, the tournament is sponsored by Farmer's Insurance as part of their Thank America's Teachers program, which will give each contestant a $2,500 grant to fund classroom projects.

"I'm going to use my grant to continue to develop our classroom's outdoor education program so that my students will continue to be challenged and inspired by the great outdoors," Binder said in a video (shard below.)

Binder is the only teacher from Colorado participating and is one of 15 total teachers competing.

The tournament will air May 7-18 on FOX 31 weekdays at 6 p.m.
