Sure, it may have been on The Food Networks, “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” but the Skirted Heifer didn't really need the national TV audience to become a hit in Colorado Springs. Their unique way of doing a classic already had everyone hooked.
But now you don't have to go Downtown to enjoy the juicy goodness, as they opened a second location earlier this month, just south of Dublin on Powers in East Colorado Springs.
There are really only two differences in between the original and the second. The new Skirted Heifer is about twice the size of the first, around 1,400 square feet, and features homemade ice cream sandwiches instead of frozen custard.
I went the other night to investigate, and I can confirm it is just like the original!!
