A Napping Moose, Not the Bomb Cyclone, Forces Colorado Library to Close

Seemingly everything in Colorado was closed during the crazy blizzard we had this week, but a library in Silverthorne, Colorado was not closed because of the wind or the snow, but instead a napping moose!

“The North Branch Library, here in Silverthorne, Colorado, is temporarily closed due to a moose making an attempt at higher learning and blocking the entrance," the library wrote on social media. "Please stay away from the library and DO NOT approach the moose."

Said librarian Katie Koop, “It was an eventful morning...Normally we wouldn’t have been closed; even in this weather, we try really hard to stay open because we are a place for people to hang out when they’re waiting out the storm."
