Annually, the Veterans Plaza hosts a multi-day event on Memorial Day weekend honoring a different generation of Veterans each year. In 2019, the Plaza will pay tribute to Gulf War Veterans.
On Saturday, 25 May, come to the Plaza to view a memorial honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice during Operation Desert Storm and meet veterans and active duty members of the U.S. military.
The evening of Saturday, 25 May, join Veterans Plaza at the Fort Collins Marriott for the annual All Veterans Gala, featuring dinner, dancing and guest speaker Retired Lt. General William Welser III, U.S.A.F., Director of Logistics and Operations, Transportation Command for 911 response.
Events on Sunday, 26 May will begin at 11:00 AM with reading the names of the fallen, followed at noon by a formal ceremony including 21 gun salute, bag piper, and speaker.
At 1:00 PM, after the ceremony, join the members of the Colorado National Guard 101st Army Rock Band, for an afternoon of rock music from the 70’s through today, including patriotic favorites and fun for the whole family!
