Everybody is pumped that Colorado will soon have In N' Out Burgers, but in my humble opinion, Five Guys is better. Oh, and we are about to get one in Greeley!
The Centerplace Shopping Center continues to attract new businesses, and according to the Greeley Tribune, it's about to have a bunch more;
The Center at CenterPlace(centeratcenterplace.com) — This physical rehabilitation center is also about to be finished at 4356 24th Street Road. It is slated to open next month. According to its website, The Center offers more than 154 services, has 54 private suites and 54 bathrooms that meet standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Five Guys(fiveguys.com) — The popular fast casual chain has been serving handcrafted burgers, hot dogs and fries since 1986. This could be the next major dining/retail addition to the Bear Paw/CenterPlace area and it’s one of few places with a somewhat clear, albeit tentative, timeline for when it should open — August, according to Mueller. The Bear Paw Shopping Center, 4239 CenterPlace Drive, will be a two-story 25,600 square-foot mixed-use commercial building.
Hugo’s Barber Shop(facebook.com/hugosbarbershop970) — The popular local barbershop that started in downtown Greeley and now makes its home at 2540 11th Ave., in Greeley, has plans to add a second location, in the Bear Paw Shopping Center. The new shop is tentatively scheduled to open late summer or early fall.
Winchell’s Donut House(winchells.com) — The popular doughnut shop at 1503 8th Ave., in Greeley, has been open since 1965. The business has grown throughout the years, and it will open a second location, likely this fall, next to Five Guys at the Bear Paw Shopping Center.
Cheba Hut(chebahut.com) — Serving toasted subs and somewhat oddly named “munchies” and treats like the “Goo Ball” — a baseball-sized gob of Rice Krispies, peanut butter, honey and cocoa — Cheba Hut’s current location, 1645 8th Ave., with its proximity to the University of Northern Colorado, is a hit with college kids and young adults. It will expand its business to Bear Paw. There are plans for the new location to be 2,400 square feet with a full bar and wraparound patio.
Village Cooperative of Greeley— A 52-unit senior living community is being constructed at 4527 24th Street Road.
Townhomes at 44th Avenue and 24th Street Road— There are plans for 133 townhouse units to be built.
Greeley Lodge Senior Living— There are plans for 92 units of senior housing to be built at 4417 CenterPlace Drive.
As stated above, there is no official word on opening, but late summer could be close!
