I feel a little guilty for something I did at Walmart this week, so I am going to get it off my chest and see what you think...
My little boy, Boone, is six-months-old now, and just went up a size in diapers. When we had a baby shower for his months ago, people loaded us up with smaller sized diapers that we can't use anymore. Some of the boxes didn't have receipts.
I took one of the smaller sized boxes without a receipt to Walmart to exchange the other day, and the lady at the customer service stand was pretty rude to us. She tried ringing the box into the system and said "these didn't come from this store." She did put a sticker on the box so the door guy knew we didn't steal them. When we tried to ask questions about how to go about exchanging them she was very short and basically blew us off.
That's when I said screw it and took things into my own hands... I went back to the diaper section, put the too small box on the shelf, got the size I needed, and put the "they didn't steal this" sticker on the new box. I walked right by the door guy, no questions asked, and went home with the right sized diapers.
So technically I didn't steal anything as I just exchanged what I had for what I needed, but I still feel a little bad. Should I?
