I Got a Random Check For Hundreds of Dollars in the Mail - Should I Cash It

I went to my mailbox yesterday, which is rare these days, opened it up, and found a random check, made out to me for $750. Now I don't know what to do...

The check is from a legitimate charity, and only says under the purpose column "bill," I went to the bank, and they confirmed, it is a legitimate check, and offered to cash it.

First I wanted to call the charity it came from to discuss, but the lady who answered had no clue what was going on, and told me she would call me right back... That was hours ago now, and no call still.

Now I don't know what to do... Do I cash it? I mean it's made out to my real name, and it came to my real address. Or, do I just rip it up and pretend it never happened, and I hope this isn't some sort of payment I am actually owed?

HELP!!!!
