'Friends' Is Hitting the Big Screen to Celebrate It's 25th Anniversary

The blitz of 25th anniversary events for Friends is continuing apace, as 12 4K-remastered episodes of the sitcom are being screened this fall in over 1,000 U.S. movie theaters.

According to UPI, episodes slated to be shown across three nights (September 23 and 28, as well as October 2) include the pilot, The One with the Birth, The One with the Prom Video, and The One with Ross's Wedding -- Part 2.

In addition, each screening will have "exclusive interviews and never-before-seen content," UPI adds. "The cultural impact that Friends continues to have, 25 years after its premiere, is astounding," Warner Bros. Television group President Lisa Gregorian said in a statement. "It is so amazing to know that the series is still bringing people of all ages together."

Fathom Events' website will reveal the theaters screening the Friends blitz this Friday.
