Another year, and another Super Bowl will be played without a country music Halftime Show.
Last year was probably our best shot with the game being in Atlanta, and many in the country format being from Georgia, so this year with the game being in Miami, it should really not be a surprise.
Instead of country the NFL announced that Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show on February 2 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida.
“These two remarkable artists are setting a new precedent for what this show can become, and we’re confident that this will be an incredible performance for the ages,” said the marketing director for Pepsi, which is sponsoring the show.
...Not excited!
