Scott James will once again set out to break the current World Record - his own - for the longest ferris wheel ride, while raising money for the Weld and Larimer County Food Banks!
Two years ago Scott sat on the ferris wheel at Scheels for 50 hours and raised $25,000 to help end food insecurity here in Northern Colorado. It might seem rather ambitious, but the need is real and we're willing to give it a shot.
The 51 For Fun Ferris Wheel Fundraiser is on! It will start at 2:00 p.m. on November 14 at Scheels and will continue through Saturday November 16 at 5:00 p.m. It normally costs $2 to ride the wheel at Scheel’s. During the time that Scott is on the wheel, 100% of those proceeds will be donated to the Food Banks.
To ride with Scott that’ll cost $25 – and it goes to the food banks.
Will you kindly donate? We are asking for $1 an hour. That’s $51. Sure, that’s a chunk of money, but it will go so far to help combat hunger in NoCo.
