I am so honored to partner with this legendary business to tell you about the great things they do on my radio show, and also right here on my blog. Today, I'd like to introduce you to a couple of the Physicians who specialize in the care of Spine.

Back pain is a common condition that affects nearly 65 million American’s per year. The pain can be brought on by a wide variety of stressors such as injuries or genetic factors. If you’ve ever experienced back pain you know just how debilitating it can be, and how quickly it can diminish your quality of life. Obviously the spine is one of the most crucial parts of your body, and it's duties include holding up the head and upper body, supporting the body to stand straight, and providing flexibility for bending and twisting. The Physicians at OCR make sure your spine is functioning correctly, and also specialize in spinal injuries.

Dr. Robert Benz is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in spine surgery for the care of people who have back or neck injuries and conditions. Dr. Benz has been a member of OCR since 2000. He has authored numerous book chapters and journal articles relating to the care of back and neck injuries and conditions, and works closely with non-operative physicians, and physical therapists locally and throughout the region, to decrease the need for surgery, or optimize a person’s recovery if surgery is needed.

Dr. Bill Biggs is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in spine surgery for people who have back or neck injuries and conditions. He has been a member of OCR since 2006. His specialty includes the care of children and young adults with scoliosis. Dr. Biggs joins Dr. Benz to provide patients with comprehensive spine care, from surgery to conservative treatment, including the latest techniques in minimally invasive surgery and artificial disc replacements for the neck and low back (lumbar).

Dr. Benz and Dr. Biggs see patients at all three OCR’s Medical Campuses, in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley.
