As part of the coronavirus response, the IRS and Treasury just announced that the tax payment deadline has been delayed by 90 days. This would allow filers 90 days to pay income tax up to $1 million. This applies to Federal tax returns, NOT state, although some states have issued delays due to the coronavirus. We are not aware of any tax return delays issued for Colorado at this time. You can check for updates HERE with the American Institute of CPAs.
You are still encouraged to file your returns as soon as possible, especially if you are due a refund that could help alleviate personal financial stress at this time.
