Walmart: People Are Buying More Shirts, But Not Pants, While Quarantined

Who needs pants during a global health pandemic? Not very many people...

A Walmart rep says customers are buying more and more tops--but not pants and bottoms--during the coronavirus crisis. Why? Because they're only worried about looking good from the waist up during all those Zoom meetings while working from home.

"We're seeing increased sales in tops, but not bottoms," Walmart executive vice president of corporate affairs Dan Bartlett says. "So, people who are concerned, obviously, from the waist up. These behaviors are going to continue to change and evolve as people get accustomed to this new lifestyle, if you will. And we're able to accommodate that, both online and in our stores."
