Colorado Pools May Be Able to Open By the Weekend

We're already without concerts and many of the other things we've grown to love in the summer, so please let there at least be pools!!

That wish may become reality as soon as this weekend in Colorado. Governor Jared Polis said Monday the state will transition from the safer-at-home order to what he is calling "Safer at Home and in the Vast, Great Outdoors," starting now and going through July 1st. The plan is to ease some restrictions put into place to slow the spread of COVID-19, and also encourage Coloradans to get outside – as long as they can maintain proper social distancing.

As for swimming pools, the governor's office said the Colorado Dept. of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE) is also releasing draft guidance on houses of worship, outdoor recreation, personal recreation and updates to the child care and personal services guidance. Final versions will be released Thursday, June 4th, and will likely allow pools to open with limited capacity.

Fingers crossed for this!!
