Professional sports is coming back to Colorado!!!

According to a press release, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks will begin play on July 11th, although the release doesn't make it clear on whether or not fans will be in attendance.

The entire release reads;

The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are pleased to announce that the USL Championship Board of Governors voted on Thursday in favor of returning to play for the 2020 season, with a provisional start date set for July 11.
While additional information on competition format, scheduling, broadcast and other important details will be made available in the coming weeks, it's important to note that the league's return to play will be conducted in strict alignment with all local and state public health guidelines. The Switchbacks are working closely with the El Paso County Public Health Department in order to ensure the safety of all players, staff, and fans. USL HQ also remains in regular dialogue with the USL Players Association on all matters concerning player health and wellness protocols and looks forward to continuing those discussions.
"I am so impressed with our USL Championship league and franchise partners across the nation choosing to invest more in staff, players, and communities in the midst of uncertainty," said Switchbacks President, Nick Ragain. "We are also extremely grateful for the ongoing support from our amazing season ticket members and sponsors as we navigate 2020 and prepare a new downtown stadium in 2021. We will have more details forthcoming but have taken our first step in bringing back normalcy."
