As a die-hard Denver Broncos fan, I never thought I'd being sitting in my office writing an article about a Los Angeles Chargers player. I am though, and I am proud to do it as it's Eaton, Colorado's own Austin Ekeler getting into the national spotlight.
Ekeler grew up in Eaton, went on to play college football at Western Colorado, and began his pro career in 2017 as an undrafted free agent. This off-season the Chargers made him one of the NFL's highest paid running backs with a four-year, $24.5 million contract.
Now he is on the cover of Sports Illustrated as well! The article inside the magazine discusses his unlikely rise to NFL stardom. Check it out here.
