Ed McCaffrey is still one of the biggest fan favorites to ever play for the Denver Broncos. The former wide receiver is now the head coach at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, and raised his family in Colorado. His son, Christian, has become one of the biggest stars in the NFL. Together they made one military family have a Fathers Day they'll never forget.
The two teamed up with USAA, the Official NFL Salute to Service Partner, and the USO to virtually surprise a military family for a special Father’s Day celebration in honor of their service.
They made a virtual visit to active-duty service members and Jeremy C., a 16-year United States Marine Corps veteran and his daughter Ella R., who followed in her father’s footsteps and currently has three years of service with the United States Air Force.
In the video, McCaffrey thanked Jeremy and Ella for their service and the group discussed why Father’s day is special to them.
