The Colorado Springs Switchbacks Soccer Club is not only going to have a season in 2020, but they'll have fans at the home games as well. Today the club shared the new schedule.
The United Soccer League announced today the revised schedule for the 2020 USL Championship season. The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC will play 15 games, 8 at home, over 13 weeks.
The Switchbacks 16 game schedule (including the March 7th 2-1 win in Oklahoma City) will determine who will advance to the 2020 USL Championship Playoffs, which will open in the second weekend of October. As was announced last week, the Switchbacks were placed in Group C alongside El Paso Locomotive FC, New Mexico United, and Real Monarchs SLC. The Switchbacks will play each team in our group four times before playing three games against other teams that are also close in geographic location to determine which 16 teams will advance to the 2020 USL Championship Playoffs, which will open in the second weekend of October.
There has been no announcement on when tickets go onsale, or how many fans will be permitted. Stay tuned for that info.
