Colorado Woman Offers Couples Free Date Nights With Dinner & Babysitting

Between social distancing and stay-at-home orders, date nights have become a thing of the past for a lot of couples. But one Colorado woman is stepping in to help local lovebirds get that much-needed one-on-one time. Caramina Sommers offers a romantic night away from the kids to married couples and she takes care of everything.

She posts on local community Facebook groups asking who needs a date night and then hosts it for free at her Colorado Springs home. Sommers uses her skills in the kitchen to whip up a full meal for the couple, including dessert. And while they dine, she entertains their children out back - and they don’t have to pay for dinner or a sitter. Sounds too good to be true, right? But there’s no catch, she’s just doing it out of the kindness of her heart.

“Some people just need a little encouragement. So a little something can really help someone, if they’re depressed or in despair,” Sommers explains. “You can make a difference in someone’s life.”
