As a parent, I cannot thank my kid's teachers enough for what they do. They are truly heroes in my book, and yet they continue to underpaid, especially in Colorado.
Only one state pays it's teachers worse in 2020 according to a study by business.org, that state is Virginia.
Colorado came in at number 50, in the study that also included Washington D.C., with teachers being paid an average of $53,301. That's 23.1% less than the $61,430 average salary in the country.
New York is the top state for teacher pay.
