Colorado Zoo Welcomes a New Baby Monkey

Baby animals are the best!! So anytime a local zoo has a new one, I love spreading the joy and sharing pictures.

This time it's Colorado Springs' Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, who unexpectedly welcome a new baby Siamang, a kind of gibbon, on Sept. 7th.

According to The Gazette;

"Eve (the mother) and Wayan (the father) are normally spooning together when we come into work for early-morning checks," said keeper Kelsey Newman, who was the first to see the baby Siamang. "This morning, I noticed they were sitting a little differently. Then, Wayan moved away from Eve and I saw the little baby's arm. It was a surprise, for sure."

There are no plans to name the baby yet, whose gender has also not been determined.
