One of the things I love most about working in the media, is we get to see the kind hearts of people during tragedy. People are always quick to reach out to us to find ways to help, and the recent wildfires in Colorado are no different story.
Here are a couple of safe and secure ways to help people out if you feel inclined...
Colorado-Wide Help:
- Colorado Responds is an organization that helps Coloradans after disasters like wildfires, floods, and even COVID-19: https://www.coloradoresponds.org
- The American Red Cross has a donation page set up as well. People can also sign up to volunteer on the Red Cross website here.
Help for Larimer County:
- The United Way of Larimer County set up a fire response fund for monetary donations: https://impact.uwaylc.org/comm/SinglePageRegPledge.jsp
- You can also donate by texting “LarimerUnited” to 41444.
Help for Grand County:
- To help residents in that area, you can donate to the Grand County Wildfire Emergency Fund: https://grandfoundation.com/News/ID/62/Grand-County-Wildfire-Emergency-Fund-Finding-Hope-Amidst-Adversity
