An Iconic Colorado Springs Restaurant Has Closed Indefinitely

When you talk about restaurants in Colorado Springs, the conversation will almost always end up at Fargo's Pizza at some point. The iconic pizza joint has been in town since 1973, and is one of the most unique pizza places in America. Sadly, it's shutting it's doors for now.

In a Facebook post, the eatery on Platte Avenue thanked its loyal customers, but did also say they hope to serve you again in the near future.

So maybe there's hope that it'll be back... In the meantime a sign on the side door of the building said employees can pick up checks on Friday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Fargo's opened in December of 1973 and claims to be "one of the world’s largest family pizza restaurants" with capacity of up to 500 guests. It no doubt is one of the most unique!

Fingers crossed it'll be back!
