Showing up to share the real, ordinary, and extraordinary parts of life. She thinks the three most beautiful traits a human can possess are grace, rawness and vulnerability. When people possess those traits and if they are willing to do the hard work of leaning in, feeling uncomfortable and owning their stories, they can find their true purpose. When Emily started doing the hard work, she came to the realization that her purpose was to serves others, while giving grace. When people are fully granting grace to others, they are loving them without judgment and accepting them for who they are at that exact moment in time. When people do those two things, they are able to truly show up for each other. It might be hard. It might take courage, but it is the most important thing people can do for each other.

Sarah Kordis, Secret Sleigh Project

In 2015, I imagined Secret Sleigh. I was sitting in my daughter Lily's bedroom, still processing her new needs as she slept. Lily had recently been diagnosed again, amidst her current medical illness and developmental needs. It was a lot to take in that day. I had a vision of Santa walking into Lily's room, and Lily lighting up at the sight of him. This is where Secret Sleigh was born. I posted the idea on Facebook, and shared how I would like to help other families receive a home visit as well. Within two hours, thanks to remarkable friend, we had Santa. Two weeks after, Santa visited 16 children all over Northern Colorado, including Lily and her brothers, and took his entire day to do so. Not only that, Santa had Mrs. Claus with him, and a few elves to assist in navigating the sleigh. The following year, more than 5 Santa's visited over 50 children in three different states. I am thrilled at the growth of the project and that it has brought joy to so many children and families. This year I have a wonderful Secret Sleigh team to help in our planning! In continuing this tradition we want every child, no matter where they are and what diagnosis keeps them home, to truly enjoy some needed Christmas magic!

Ashlee Hitchcock, Soul Rejuvenations

After years as a massage therapist, working for large and small studios, and even renting my own space, I was burned out. I became a massage therapist to help people but found myself not making the impact I desired. I ended up changing careers; my husband and I opened two local businesses, and I became a mom.  Through those experiences, I was reminded our best selves require personal care and rejuvenation. I visited countless spas and massage practices seeking that care and rejuvenation, but each time I left underwhelmed. Through those disappointments, the inspiration for Soul was born. What if you could have an experience that serves you, an atmosphere designed with your health and betterment in mind, and a group of people dedicated to your rejuvenation? Soul was created because I believe that we as humans are meant to serve and care for each other. We want to serve our community.

Or how about when it's late, you have an emergency, maybe you just have a minor question?Wouldn't you love to have access to your doctor whenever you need, without paying for each visit, waiting for hours to be seen, or paying a hefty premium for urgent care? As a parent, I found myself in this situation many times. I knew there had to be a better solution for parents to be able to more conveniently and quickly get access to a pediatrician. That's why I founded Zzap Pediatrics. We specialize in family-centered pediatric medicine, preventative care, acute childhood illnesses & injuries.
