Texas is Getting Rid of Mask Mandate and Opening Businesses 100% Next Week

If you're like me and ready to "get back to normal," here is some light at the end of the tunnel!

Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced Tuesday that his state would lift the mask mandate that was put in place to fight COVID. That news comes at the same time Texas is lifting other recommended restrictions to battle the spread of COVID. Restaurants statewide will be able to host customers inside without restrictions. The new rules go into effect on March 10th.

Abbott made the announcement from a restaurant in Lubbock saying, “Removing statewide mandates does not end personal responsibility.”

Texas becomes the biggest state to ditch mandatory mask rules. North Dakota, Iowa, and Montana have also repealed mask mandates in the past few weeks.
