She thinks he drinks too much. You decide in Scott and Sadie's Life Court!

Here is Thursday's Life Court...

Scott and Sadie,

I married a girl who doesn't drink. Her family doesn't drink. I do. I am not a drunk, but I like to have a drink almost every day. Lately, she has been giving me a hard time about how much I do drink. The other day she asked, "don't you think you are an alcoholic?" I said, "No!"

Does my drinking cause any chaos in my life? Do I ever appear like I even have anything in my system?" My wife pulled out my almost empty bottle of whiskey and told me that I had gone through it in less than two weeks. I think for a 750ml bottle to last two weeks shows restraint!

She said that my drinking problem is causing us too much money. I didn't know the cost of a bottle of whiskey every two weeks was excessive. When I got defensive, she said that this is what an alcoholic sounds like.

So, in Life Court, I need a third-party perspective. How would you feel if you were me? Would you start going to greater lengths to hide your drinking, stand your ground, or realize that maybe you do have a problem and need to cut back or quit?

Thanks,

Anonymous
